Dia de los Muertos Prototype
For Humanities we are engaged in death vignettes and artist statements and on physics we are learning about light. In this prototype we are to construct a lightbox to fanfare our photograph and photo artist statements in our exhibition. This box has a small LED flashlight infused on the back and through lenses and mirrors it will reflect our photo and photo artist statements in the front.
On Friday October 4th, for Humanities and Physics, we had a prototype critic to help us make our project sharpened. On my critic sheet I catechized if I should make the photograph and its photo artist statement be on the very front or it to be placed inside. My fellow classmates critiqued my prototype which helped me very much for making the final decisions which was that yes I should put the photograph and photo artist statement in the front so that it looks better and is able to show more. I also asked if I should change my tunnels but they told me they were working fine and that the way they were constructed was good and unique.
My ultimate prototype is going to contemplate some what like my first draft with a few adjustments. My draft had a small square at the back, which is where the LED flashlight would be located which I will still have only that it will change locations. Then my tunnels will be similar because the angles of the mirrors where very well put together. The only thing that I am changing is that the final mirror instead of being located at the top center, its location will be the top right corner.
In this project light is conveyed from the mere back of the box to light the foremost! At the beginning I thought this would be an futile project but by learning about light and all its concepts it became achievable. Light travels as a ray, which is each of the lines on which light may stream form the sun or any other source of ilumination. The flashlight consists of energy particles which travel through electromagnetic waves. The way to get light to be able to change directions was by using reflection. The angle that the light of ray hits the mirror, is the same angle with which it will reflects. I am also planning on using lenses to take andvantage of refraction which is the bending of a wave when it enters a medium. Light travels at 299,792,458 meters per second, with this it is very clear that light is able to travel velocious. The number of particles of light, in their scientific name called photons, can determine the amount of radiation it consists of. The wavelenght can likewise determine the energy and type of electromagnetic radiation. Concluded this porcess of light, we are able to relocate the locality of the affecting light.
Final Product:
This final product various from my intial prototype because the channels differ immensley. My first channels where alot more complex then this channels. This is because I was very limited with my time and productivity. I determined that it would be more rational to make my channels more uncomplicated to myself. I was also planning to manufacture my box smaller then anticipated. But I thought about my vignette, and how I needed to assent the expanse of where it would be located.
I was able to determine many things by accomplishing this project. One of those things would be the topic of light. Light differ alot by what obejct is the cause of the illumination. the two main sources of light are incandescent and luminescent light. Even though both lights are different light is always made u of particles which help it travel. Light is not able to travel in a straight line but rather travel in waves. By this we are able to fing frequency and wavelenghts.
If I was able to re do this project again I would change my structure. Even though I am satisfied with my final resuts I still think I would be able to work better in other projects. Considering this one to be my first one working with wood, I think I was able to complete it to a certain level. In future projects I will be expected to do more and accomplish many tasks in such a very short amount of time.
