Humanities honors
This was my first semester as an humanities honors student. This has been one of the most challenging course I have taken; even though there were moments throughout this semester, where I wanted to give up, I am very glad I took this course. I truly feel that by taking this course, it has enhanced my knowledge of history and literature. It has also enabled me to practice time management skills as well as research and note taking skills. Throughout this course, we were giving weekly readings -on important history events- and had to clearly annotate the articles in preparation of our Friday quiz. We also had to accumulate a minimum of 20 hours of community service -this which I gladly did at the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center. To end of a great semester, we had to compose a 10-12 page research paper on great American authors and a certain work they had written. We read the authors -of out choice- work, and generated our own question and thesis to answer by incorporating history from that time period and textual evidence from the book.
Here I have attached both by Final Research paper and my Community Service hours reflection, enjoy!
